How the New Wave in Wi-Fi is Delivering Information On Demand Campus Wide

Located near Bowral in NSW, Chevalier College is a leading independent secondary school catering for over 1100 students. The campus is set in 100 acres of beautiful landscaped grounds, housing over 20 buildings and numerous sports ovals.

With the increase of wireless devices including laptops and smart phones being used by staff and students, the school’s previous wireless infrastructure was facing many challenges. These included radio frequency (RF) interference, inability to provide coverage for the entire campus area, central management and the failure to support both legacy and modern wireless devices.

Today, Chevalier College has a robust, seamless Wi-Fi solution enabling consistent Internet access to the school’s intranet and other network services located within the campus. The state-of-the-art Wi-Fi system offers true flexibility, ‘growing’ with the school’s needs whilst remaining easily managed.

Adrian maintains that the Wi-Fi network’s ability to adaptively cope with the constantly moving smart mobile devices, whose orientation is continually altering, is a unique and winning feature for staff and students. He will walk us through how his College went about identifying the right Wi-Fi solution to deliver the needs in meeting the information on demand era.
