Curtin University’s early adoption & migration to the Cloud exposes a number of misconceptions of risks surrounding migrating IT services into the cloud.

- What were the security implications of migrating to the Cloud?
- What lessons were learnt and the considerations that need to be taken into account when moving into the Cloud.

Hai Tran's Biography
Hai Tran has worked in the security industry for the past 12 years and is currently the Associate Director Information Security, Risk & Assurance at Curtin University. As the University's CISO, he has been involved in enabling the early adoption of Cloud computing to provide scalable computing services.
Prior to joining Curtin University, Hai worked extensively with Australian Government agencies and was responsible for designing and building the Macquarie Telecom Secure Gateway, the first privately operated Secure Internet Gateway in Australia to receive both Defence Signals Directorate and industry certifications (BS/AS/NZ 7799).Hai is a CISSP, CISM, and CRISC in addition to holding a Bachelor of Commerce, a Master of Electronic Commerce and a Diploma of Policing. |
