Exploring Alternatives for Network Based Video Recording

Find a solution that will allow users (staff/students) to control the recording of 20 cameras located in 15 designated areas (consultation rooms, demonstration areas, etc) on Level 1 of building T.

Users must have control over the following:

Choose the destination of the recording, i.e. secured and private location on the network Send life streaming into an adjacent viewing area Record and stream simultaneously (preferably with reduced demand on storage).

Post-recording management of data e.g. make available to other users or groups

Jack Tindall's Biography
Jack Tindall has extensive experience in both PC and AV environments in the areas of Maintenance, Installation, Commissioning, Training, and Customer Support.

Jack gained his initial technical experience with Telstra where he was trained as a Multifunction Technician, and this was followed by 5 years working as an IT Consultant for business before moving to the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2003.

In his current role, Jack is proactive in liaising with university academics and administration staff with regards to the adoption and integration of innovative technologies in the university environment.
