Beyond Video Communication and Capture - Video Content Analytics and Sharing

Video communication and video capture technology has been adopted by a significant number of Higher Education institutions over the last few years.  Use cases of video communication and video capture revolve around providing interactive distance learning and lecture capture.

A common challenge faced by the institutions that capture and store hundreds of hours of video contents from both the teaching staff and students every day, is the question of how to search and make sense of the valuable inforamtion and intellectual property that is often hidden behind tens of thousands of hours of captured content.

This presentation will examine video analytics and content sharing technology that can automate speech-to-text transcription from captured video content, keyword tagging, speaker identification, and integration into a video sharing portal.  Technology available today that could provide a solution to Higher Education institutions that are now starting to grapple with the challenge of how to make sense from the ever increasing volume of captured video content.
