John Martin's Biography
John Martin is a Principal Technologist for NetApp Australia and New Zealand.  In this role, he is responsible for promoting NetApp’s technology thought leadership and vision and aligning them to the needs of the ANZ market. John also manages the relationship between NetApp and its key alliance partners including VMware, Cisco and Microsoft and is a board member of the Storage Networking Industry Association.

Prior to this, John was Consulting Systems Engineer for NetApp A/NZ, responsible for data protection and retention services where he worked closely with NetApp’s systems engineer partners and partner consultants from Symantec and CommVault.

Before joining NetApp, John was a Principal of GRID IT where he built relationships with major storage vendors EMC, Symantec and StorageTek while at the same time helping to start two storage related businesses.  In this role, he was involved in senior pre-sales, consulting and training for Legato, Veritas and StorageTek.

John has 20 years of experience in the IT industry and has spent the last decade specialising in Data Storage and Virtualized Infrastructure.

Steven Newton's Biography
Steven Newton is a 17 year veteran of the IT industry, having spent time working in most parts of the IT value chain as a customer, system integrator, consultant and currently with Cisco.

He has spent the last 10 years in the Cisco Sales organisation in the United Kingdom and now back home in Australia. For the last 4 years his focus has been on the Data Centre and helping customers transform IT infrastructure & service delivery in Education, Health and Government.
