Building a Mobile Network for Blended Learning
Widespread adoption of mobile learning applications that run on tablets and smartphones is enabling universities to create more effective learning spaces both on campus. But Wi-Fi networks have not been designed for the density of devices or real-time multimedia applications typical of these new blended learning environments. This session will provide detailed best practices for designing and maintaining reliable and secure Wi-Fi networks that can accommodate a rapidly changing and more technology-focused pedagogical landscape.

Mark Verbloot's Biography
Mark Verbloot is Aruba's Technical Director for Asia Pacific Japan, responsible for development and training the APJ technical team, communicating key product and technical updates for the APJ region. Mark has over 20 years of technology and consultant experience in the IT industry. He started as a Technical Manager in Aruba Networks, responsible for major technical account development in ANZ region and instrumental in key strategic wins including New South Wales Department of Education and Training (NSW DET), one of the largest 802.11n networks in the world. Prior to joining Aruba Networks, he held several managerial positions, he was the security consultant for F5 Networks working with L4 to L7 switching, the Senior Security Engineer for Cisco Systems specialize in L4 to L7 switching and storage switching and the Technical Manager for Xylan, where he managed a group of technical engineers. Mark holds an honors degree in computer systems engineering from the University of Technology, Sydney. |
