Cooperation, Collaboration and Consolidation
QUT has historically maintained two separate organisations for management of staff and student spaces. Each team developed their own strategies and methodologies and used different technologies for administration and support of their environment. The planned migration to Windows 7 with update of associated technology allowed a rethink of this approach. Labs and staff spaces have been migrated to the same technologies, pool their resources and are reaping the benefits of greater cooperation and reduced costs of a combined management approach.
