Internet charging and access – A charging addiction and the road to rehab
Until recently Charles Sturt University relied heavily on funding its communications infrastructure and operations on a not too insignificant margin placed on top of charges to staff and students for their internet traffic. We have a unique charging model for funding internet traffic and network infrastructure and this has fed our charging addiction. Last year we decided it was time to break the habit and check ourselves into rehab. Follow CSU on our Journey to rehabilitation. Our journey starts in the gutter, with CSU high on the spoils of charging for internet traffic. Next we see our University hero come to the realisation that it has an addiction and needs to change its ways. Our story ends with the road to recovery, the lessons learnt and with a bright addiction free future in sight.
