Conference Accommodation

On-campus accommodation has been arranged at University Hall, one of the student residential colleges. The facilities are single rooms with shared bathrooms and toilets. Laundry facilities are available and there is television in the Junior Common Room. Meals are served in the college dining room.

The cost of bed and breakfast at University Hall is $35 per person per night. Additional meals are $6 each. A limited number of rooms may be available before and after the conference -- please check with Conference and Events Management.

Alternative off-campus accommodation is available in a range of hotels and motels, ranging from budget to four star. Conference and Events Management suggest one of the following:

**** The Sheraton Breakwater Casino-Hotel

About a 30 minute drive from the University, the Sheraton provides a level of service and comfort for which the chain is renowned. It has a pool, sauna, spa, gym, tennis court and restaurant, and is part of the casino complex.

*** Mecure Inn

Built amidst 11 ha of tropical gardens adjacent to an 18 ha artificial lake, the Mercure Inn is about 20 minutes from the University by car. Some of the two storey 200 room complex is built round a large free-form swimming pool and there is a bistro, a spa, a sauna and two day/night tennis courts. There is also ample off-street parking.

*** Cluden Park Motor Inn

In the suburbs about 20 minutes from town, the Cluden Park is close to the racecourse and about 10 minutes from the University. A two storey complex of 31 units, it offers a restaurant, BBQ area, pool and covered parking.

*** Monte Carlo Motor Inn

Situated on Bowen Road, known locally as Motel Strip, about 15 minutes from the University, the Monte offers 51 units, restaurant, pool, spa and covered parking.

** The Strand

Offering budget accommodation, The Strand is opposite Cleveland Bay, 5 minutes from the City and about 25 minutes from the University. It has a BBQ area and a pool.

*** The Villas

Fully self-contained one and two bedroom family appartments situated on Bowen Road about 15 minutes from the University. The Villas offers a pool and BBQ area and everything is supplied.
