Pre-Conference Tutorials

There are two pre-conference tutorials being run in conjunction with QUESTnet '96. The tutorials run all day on the Tuesday preceding the Conference and allow delegates to receive intensive instruction in the topic of their choice. The cost of tutorial registration is $100.

Pre-Conference One Day Tutorials

Cisco Router Configuration and Management

This tutorial, given by one of Cisco Brisbane's Systems Engineers, looks at issues confronting network managers in Queensland like WAN choice, network security and management. Topics to be discussed include:

Frame Relay Design and Configuration, Cisco Features, ISDN Design and Configuration, Cisco Features, Queueing, Compression, Routing Protocols for Bandwidth Optimisation, Dial On Demand Routing.
Cisco Security Architecture
Framework, Firewalls, Access Lists and Filtering, Address Translation, TACACS, XTACACS, TACACS+, Router and Daemon Configuration, New Features eg, Encryption.
Cisco Router Management
Exec, TFTP, Debug, SNMP, CiscoWorks, RMON Support, HTTP.
