Panel Session: Can Your Wireless Network Cope With the Challenges of BYOD?

More so than any other industry, education has been at the forefront of the BYOD trend, which has been driving WLAN purchase decisions well ahead of most other markets. On university and college campuses, wireless networks are already much more than just a convenience. Students, faculty and staff rely on the wireless LAN for connectivity everywhere they go, whether downloading lecture slides, watching videos or communicating through VoIP and messaging.
This presentation addresses the issues arising from the BYOD phenomenon, including:

  • High user densities (multiples devices per user)
  • Managing multiple device types
  • Trends from simple wireless data to video and voice applications
  • Demands for simple, secure network access
