What’s Behind the AAF Front Door?
The AAF operates as a shared service and provides a common and secure authentication framework for the Australian higher education and research sector. Subscribers include all Australian universities, CSIRO and a number of support organisations, and a number of organisations providing products and services to users. This means that access via the AAF is provided to over 1 million end users who can use their institution’s credentials to access web based resources that are connected to the AAF.
The presentation by Heath Marks, AAF Manager, is designed to answer questions about “What is a federation?” “What is the AAF?” “How does it work?” “Accessing federated services”, and more. Heath will also cover possible future developments to support the services being developed for the Australian eresearch community.
