Pedagogy, Learning and the Digital World: A South Australian Story
Buoyed by the Federal Government’s Digital Education Revolution rhetoric there is currently a flurry of activity across a variety of digital modalities in Australian schools. The uptake in schools, while supported by many dedicated educators, could be described as variable and spasmodic--despite the ubiquitous uptake by young people out-of-school. It would seem reasonable that institutions and agencies beyond school, who are keen to provide the capacities that enable innovative digital educational programs, might ask why the variability in uptake? I discuss the approach Outreach Education is taking in response to current research to developing digital learning experiences for teachers and students in South Australia.
