National Research Cloud Getting Started

This workshop will complement the NeCTAR Research Cloud presentation at QUESTnet. The workshop will focus on live demos on how to use the cloud. It will start off with some very simple demonstrations for example, starting a Virtual Machine via the cloud web interface, and will then move through levels of complexity to enabling desktop access and launching Virtual Machines via command line tools.
BYO laptop - users with internet access are encouraged to follow presentation steps live and can leave workshop with their own account and servers running in the cloud.
