QCloud
QCloud provides collaborative cloud data, compute and hosted services to the Queensland and Australian research communities. As part of the national RDSI and NeCTAR Research Cloud projects, QCloud interacts with other research cloud centres in Australia to unite research communities and deliver data and services broadly across Australia. For Queensland it provides a place to locate and deliver services of national and regional interest. By accumulating and making available data that has been inaccessible previously, QCloud is expected to provide unprecedented opportunities for integrating and aggregating data, and for stimulating new research based on these emerging resources. This could result in a wide range of new research applications in industry and government. The presentation will provide an overview of the facilities presented by QCloud and how they are being implemented, and will explore some of the innovative directions that QCloud will enable.
