Shaune Sinclair

CQUniversity: Rethinking and Revamping Video Services

CQUniversity has a 10-year history of utilising network-based video services, including extensive use of lecture-theatre based videoconferencing, boardroom videoconferencing, desktop videoconferencing, AccessGrid, lecture recording for online delivery and live webcasts. In 2011 CQUniversity committed to further investment in its video services, including development of a 'next generation' video strategy and infrastructure refresh, to be delivered in a multi-year program of works during 2012 and 2013. This presentation will outline the plans that CQUniversity has for technical architecture, services & support, and project/program resourcing and delivery.

Shaune Sinclair's Biography
Shaune Sinclair has worked in the IT Department at CQUniversity for the past nine years, and has held several project management and operational management roles covering a diverse range of areas including videoconferencing infrastructure, network and telecommunications, videoconference operations, online media production, teaching spaces, academic/learning and teaching engagement, and client service improvement. Shaune holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from UNSW, Masters of Engineering from UTS, and a Graduate Certificate in Flexible Teaching from CQUniversity.
