The Phoenix Project - Network Upgrade Project at The University of QLD
Over the last few years the University of Queensland has embarked on a large network upgrade, codenamed "phoenix". The phoenix project included upgrades/replacement of the network core along with over 2,000 access layer switches and the installation of 3,500 wireless access points. This presentation will cover the key learnings from this project, the highs and lows as well as current and near future network deployments (7 new buildings) as part of the Universities $700 million capital works program.
