Chris Gay

Network security at universities

I'd like to talk about general network protection at Universities and my experience moving from a default open to a default close network method. I'm currently in the middle of the project and will have it all done by the start of Questnet 2013. As part of this process I am also trying to create a process to deal with automated system such as used with internal and external clouds.

I know other universities do not have a traditional firewall like a business and some larger Universities like MIT are also starting down this path.
