OpenStack: A New Way of Implementing Datacentre Networks?

OpenStack is an emerging, open source, Infrastructure-as-a-Service cloud management framework targeted at enterprises and service providers.

Names like NASA and Rackspace have been associated with OpenStack since its inception; many major manufacturers are likewise active participants in the OpenStack Foundation.

This talk is to discuss:
* What OpenStack is, why it matters in the context of a research and education network, and what it is intended to provide;
* What Brocade is already contributing to OpenStack, our other plans, and how this fits into the 'big picture'; and
* Where OpenStack is headed next, and how you can benefit.
