A case study of student computing at Griffith University

This presentation will cover the history of Student Computing at Griffith University over the last 5 years including the organisational support structures and physical facilities. The current state and directions of development as at Semester 1 2013 and anticipated for Semester 2 2013 will be described. Plans and options for development in the next 2-3 years will then be presented. 

2008: Where we were. 
2009: The structural change. 
2012: The VDI pilot and ThinApp. SLA's ownership and fleet management. 
2013: Cost of fleet management and standardised processes is the issue. A focused VDI project. A platform to move forward with. 
2015: Is the Student Computer lab disappearing?
