Cloud, orchestrating true convergence
Converged infrastructure packages multiple ICT components into a single, optimized solution. In the main converged infrastructure is used by IT teams within an organisation to consolidate systems, standardise offerings, and lower costs. These objectives are enabled by the creation of pools of computers, storage, telecommunications and networking resources that can be shared by multiple applications and managed in a collective manner using policy driven processes.
The next evolutionary phase of convergence is cloud orchestration. Architecture is viewed contextually, connecting and automating workflows to deliver business outcomes.
Orchestrating scalable service oriented architecture through the cloud assists organisations, governments and institutions to define environmental policies, service levels through automated workflows, needs based provisioning and outcome aligned business initiatives.
