Upgrading the Wireless Network One AP at a Time

Kevin Lane

This presentation will go over the challenges of upgrading a wireless network that was previously designed for coverage rather than density. I was required to maintain the current coverage, but also allow for future expansion of that coverage with limited or no changes in AP placement after the initial upgrades. In addition, the benefits of moving from an autonomous architecture to a thin client architecture has made it much easier to monitor, maintain and troubleshoot wireless problems.
