Provide a current status of Eduroam network in US and Australia

Leon Li and David Worth

Eduroam is a location independent wireless network, allowing mobility between participants wireless infrastructure with seamless user authentication and enforcement of local security policy. It has been mainly deployed in education and research sector in North America, Europe and Asia.


Leon Li's Biography

IT Engineer, AARNet, Australia.
Leon Li joined AARNet as a member of the Applications & Services team responsible for the management, operation and development of infrastructure to support real time communications (Gateways, Gatekeepers, Call Manager). Leon is also an active participate in eduroam project group and manages Australian national eduroam servers. Leon formerly worked for Cisco as a contractor in supporting Cisco Call Manager.

David Worth's Biography

IT Administrator, The University of Tennessee, US.
Dave Worth graduated from University of New Mexico with a Masters degree in mathematics. During his time at UNM he worked at the high-performance computing center in research focused on IT security, particularly on cluster computing. After a short stint in the private sector developing healthcare management applications, Dave took a position as a programmer and network engineer with the University of Tennessee. He is now involved with wireless technologies and network management, and is the lead administrator and developer for eduroam-US.
