This presentation with give a brief look into The University of Queensland Internet traffic management project replacing an in-house written system with a vender supplied solution to manage its staff/students and external activities. The presentation will give interested users an in-depth look into the selected solution, the implementation (good and bad), and future abilities the university now has available through this project.
![]() | Simon Rose's Biography Simon Rose has worked in the Telecommunication sector for over 10 years, he was appointed by The University of Queensland in December 2007 as General Manager of UQconnect. He is responsible for the delivery of Internet services to the UQ community, which includes the University itself, as well as private internet services for staff, students, alumni and members of the public, external to the University. Simon is also responsible for running the UQSchoolsNet project delivering high speed Internet and Collaboration services to high schools in SEQ along with playing a key part in the Internet Traffic Management project just completed at UQ. |
